a while back I made these soccer jersey designs for a collection I was working on. Each jersey represents a different african tribe and contains cultural symbols/themes throughout the design as a means of cultural pride and education.
I hope one day to have them produced.
growing up in the 90's, basketball in the S.w.a.t (south west alief texas) felt like more than just a game, but a right of passage. And for close to a decade we were houston basketball.
These series of uniform designs are dedicated to the three alief high schools that helped make houston basketball what it is. Each with its own look, feel, and history.
the university of houston and three stripes uni set was an idea that came to me one day when i was watching them play. they were really good that season but for some reason their uniforms bugged me. not sure what it was but i decided to make my own.
The challenge instantly became: how do you capture the essence of 3rd ward, the spirit of the gulf coast, and the ingenuity of nasa in a uniform?
